New Delhi, August 24, 2025 : A magnificent cultural festival program “An Evening Dedicated to Maa Bharati,” imbued with Indian culture, values, and the spirit of patriotism, was successfully organized at the ICCR Auditorium, Azad Bhavan, I.T.O., New Delhi, under the joint aegis of Yamuna Parivar Council and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Sh. Harsh Malhotra, in his address, stated. The Central Government is consistently working on several important schemes for the rejuvenation of the Yamuna, pollution control, and the conservation of its banks. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, concrete steps are being taken to make sacred rivers like the Ganga and Yamuna clean and pristine. Both the central and Delhi Governments are committed to restoring the Yamuna as a life-giving stream. In this direction, the efforts of the Yamuna Parivar Council are highly commendable and inspiring. The Minister further said that Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta has been playing an active role in Yamuna conservation. She has been consistently working at the local level through cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, and ensuring the participation of various sections of society. Her initiatives are giving fresh momentum to the movement to save the Yamuna. Sh. Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Minority Commission, in his address said. The Yamuna is the soul and faith of Indian culture. Without its preservation, Indian civilization remains incomplete. It is not only the responsibility of the government but of the entire society to take a collective pledge to make the Yamuna pollution-free and pristine. The program was further graced by eminent personalities such as Sh. Avinash Rai Khanna (Former MP, Rajya Sabha), Justice Moolchand Garg (Former Judge, Delhi & M.P.), Dr. Vijay Jolly (Former MLA, Saket), Sh. Manoj Jain (Nominated Municipal Councilor), Sh. Gurudev (Social Worker, Yamunanagar, Haryana), world-renowned magician Sh.. Rajkumar, Sh. Girish Mittal (Social Worker) and Sh. Prakash Bihani (Distinguished Social Worker).Their august presence made the event grand and historic. The main highlights of the program were its cultural performances. Theatrical Director Sh. Rishi Sahni’s special play “Yes, I Am Savarkar” filled the audience with patriotic fervor, while Sri Krishna ki Yamuna (performed by Vicky Upadhyay & Team) emotionally connected the audience to spirituality and devotion. The event was managed and organized under the leadership of Sh. S.S. Agarwal, Smt. Ranjana Garg, Sh. Satyabhushan Jain, Dr. Manisha Joshi, and Sh. Kapil Garg (Director, Yamuna Parivar Council). The convener of the program was Smt. Kanchan Garg**, while Sh. Mukesh Solanki served as Chief of Arrangements and Sh. Rahul Gupta as Co-convener. Guests were traditionally welcomed with floral bouquets by Sh Kriteshwar Uniyal Pandit Ji Rawal (Yamunotri Dham, Uttarakhand), Sh. Sanyatan Sinha, and Sh. Anil Agarwal. The theatrical presentation Yes, I Am Savarka vividly depicted the life, sacrifices, and valor of the indomitable freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. The heart-wrenching portrayal of the “Kala Pani” (Cellular Jail) punishment brought tears to the eyes of the audience, while scenes of revolutionary struggle against the British filled the auditorium with deep patriotic emotions. The hall resonated with chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Meanwhile, the performance “Sri Krishna ki Yamuna” conveyed the divine glory of Maa Yamuna and her eternal cultural legacy. The audience, overwhelmed with devotion, spontaneously joined in singing and dancing with chants of “Yamuna Maiya Ki Jai” and “Jai Shri Krishna.” The auditorium was surcharged with spiritual energy, where the patriotic resolve of Veer Savarkar and the eternal sanctity of Mother Yamuna were beautifully intertwined. The event became an unforgettable experience for all present, and there was a unanimous call for the continuation of such endeavors. The program concluded with the National Anthem and chants in honor of Mother Yamuna. प्रेस विज्ञप्ति यमुना परिवार काउंसिल व भारतीय सांस्कृतिक संबंध परिषद के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में आयोजित ‘एक शाम माँ भारती के नाम’: भारतीय संस्कृति, संस्कार और राष्ट्रप्रेम से ओत-प्रोत भव्य सांस्कृतिक महोत्सव कार्यक्रम में भारत सरकार के केन्द्रीय राज्यमंत्री हर्ष मल्होत्रा व अल्पसंख्यक आयोग के अध्यक्ष इकबाल सिंह लालपुरा रहे मौजूद। नई दिल्ली। 24 अगस्त 2025 को भारतीय संस्कृति, संस्कार और राष्ट्रप्रेम की भावना से ओत-प्रोत ‘एक शाम माँ भारती के नाम’ भव्य सांस्कृतिक महोत्सव कार्यक्रम का आयोजन यमुना परिवार काउंसिल व भारतीय सांस्कृतिक संबंध परिषद् (ICCR) के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में आयोजित दिल्ली के ICCR सभागार, आजाद भवन, आई.टी.ओ. में सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ। भारत सरकार के केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन राज्यमंत्री श्री हर्ष मल्होत्रा’’ ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि ’“केंद्र सरकार यमुना जी के पुनर्जीवन, प्रदूषण नियंत्रण और तटों के संरक्षण हेतु अनेक महत्त्वपूर्ण योजनाओं पर निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। प्रधानमंत्री जी के नेतृत्व में गंगा और यमुना जैसी पवित्र नदियों को स्वच्छ व निर्मल बनाने के लिए ठोस कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। केंद्र और दिल्ली सरकार दोनों मिलकर यमुना जी को पुनः जीवनदायिनी धारा के रूप में स्थापित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं। इस दिशा में ’’यमुना परिवार काउंसिल द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयास अत्यंत सराहनीय और प्रेरणादायी हैं मंत्री जी ने कहा कि दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमती रेखा गुप्ता जी यमुना संरक्षण के लिए निरंतर सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रही हैं। वे स्थानीय स्तर पर ’स्वच्छता अभियान, जन-जागरूकता कार्यक्रम और समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों की सहभागिता सुनिश्चित करने’ हेतु लगातार प्रयासरत हैं। उनके इन प्रयासों से यमुना बचाने की मुहिम को नई गति मिल रही है। राष्ट्रीय अल्पसंख्यक आयोग के अध्यक्ष श्री इकबाल सिंह लालपुरा ने भी अपने वक्तव्य में कहा कि यमुना जी भारतीय संस्कृति की आस्था और आत्मा हैं, उनके संरक्षण के बिना भारतीय सभ्यता अधूरी है। यह केवल सरकार का नहीं, बल्कि पूरे समाज का दायित्व है कि हम मिलकर यमुना को प्रदूषणमुक्त और निर्मल बनाने का संकल्प लें। साथ ही विशिष्ट अतिथियों में श्री अविनाश राय खन्ना (पूर्व सांसद, राज्यसभा), जस्टिस मूलचन्द्र गर्ग (पूर्व न्यायाधीश, दिल्ली एवं म.प्र.), डॉ विजय जोली (पूर्व विधायक, साकेत), श्री मनोज जैन (मनोनीत निगम पार्षद), श्री गुरुदेव (समाजसेवी, यमुना नगर, हरियाणा), श्री राजकुमार (विश्वविख्यात जादूगर), श्री गिरीश मित्तल (समाजसेवी) एवं प्रकाश बिहानी (प्रबुद्ध समाजसेवी) जैसे प्रख्यात हस्तियों की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति ने इसे कार्यक्रम को भव्य व ऐतिहासिक बना दिया। कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ रहीं। लेखक व निर्देशक श्री ऋषि साहनी द्वारा विशेष नाट्य प्रस्तुति स्वतंत्र वीर सावरकर ‘हाँ मैं सावरकर हूँ’ की देशभक्ति कार्यक्रम से सभी यमुना साधकों को ऊर्जा से सराबोर कर दिया। वहीं पर ‘श्रीकृष्ण की यमुना’ (प्रस्तुति विक्की उपाध्याय व टीम) ने दर्शकों को भक्ति एवं आध्यात्मिकता से जोड़ते हुए अत्यंत भाव-विभोर कर दिया। आयोजन समिति एवं व्यवस्थापन कार्यक्रम का संचालन एवं आयोजन श्री एस.एस. अग्रवाल, श्रीमती रंजना गर्ग, श्री सत्यभूषण जैन, डॉ. वेद प्रकाश टंडन, डॉ. मनीषा जोशी एवं ‘यमुना परिवार काउंसिल’ के निदेशक श्री कपिल गर्ग के नेतृत्व में सम्पन्न हुआ। कार्यक्रम की संयोजिका श्रीमती कंचन गर्ग रहीं। जबकि व्यवस्था प्रमुख श्री मुकेश सोलंकी, सह-संयोजक श्री राहुल गुप्ता ने किया। श्री कृतेश्वर उनियाल पंडित जी रावत (यमुनोत्री धाम, उत्तराखंड), श्री संयतन सिन्हा एवं श्री अनिल अग्रवाल ने अतिथियों का पुष्पगुच्छ एवं पारंपरिक विधि से स्वागत कर कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई। कार्यक्रम में प्रस्तुत नाट्य-प्रस्तुति ‘हाँ, मैं सावरकर हूँ’ ने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के अदम्य पराक्रमी योद्धा वीर सावरकर के जीवन, त्याग और वीरता को सजीव कर दिया। काला पानी की सज़ा का हृदयविदारक चित्रण देखकर दर्शकों की आँखें नम हो उठीं और अंग्रेज़ों के विरुद्ध क्रांतिकारी संघर्ष के दृश्यों ने सभागार में बैठे सभी लोगों को भावविभोर कर दिया। इस अवसर पर दर्शकों ने भावनाओं से ओत-प्रोत होकर ‘भारत माता की जय’ के उद्घोष से वातावरण गुंजायमान कर दिया। वहीं ‘श्रीकृष्ण की यमुना’ प्रस्तुति ने माँ यमुना जी की महिमा और उनकी पावन सांस्कृतिक धरोहर का अद्वितीय संदेश दिया। इस दौरान दर्शक भी भावविभोर होकर अपनी-अपनी सीटों से नृत्य मुद्राओं के साथ ‘यमुना मैया की जय’ और ‘जय श्रीकृष्ण’ के भक्ति-घोष में सहभागी बने, जिससे पूरा सभागार आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा से सराबोर हो गया। इस भव्य संगम में वीर सावरकर का राष्ट्रभक्ति का संकल्प और माँ यमुना की शाश्वत पवित्रता जैसे एक सूत्र में पिरोए गए। यही कारण रहा कि इस आयोजन में उपस्थित प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए यह अविस्मरणीय अनुभव बन गया और सभी ने एक स्वर में इसकी निरंतरता की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया। कार्यक्रम का समापन राष्ट्रगान व माँ यमुना जी के जयघोष से संपन्न हुआ।

Press Release Yamuna Sangam programme review and thanksgiving meeting concluded ( Yamuna devotees united with the resolve for the uninterrupted flow, purity and cleanliness of Maa Yamuna ) New Delhi, under the joint aegis of Yamuna Parivar Council and Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, on the auspicious occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, a review and thanksgiving meeting of the grand and divine Yamuna Sangam programme was successfully held on Sunday, 04 January 2026 at 11:30 am at B. N. Pandey Hall, Gandhi Darshan Museum, Rajghat, Delhi. The meeting was organized under the guidance of Shri Kapil Garg, Director of Yamuna Parivar Council, in which detailed discussions were held on the overall arrangements, participation, discipline and successful organization of the Yamuna Sangam programme. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sunita Godara Ji (International Athlete), Shri Vaibhav Guru Ji (Mahant, Marghat Wale Ancient Hanuman Temple, Kashmiri Gate), Shri Vinod Kumar (RBN Event), along with a large number of Yamuna devotees and female devotees who managed and supported the programme arrangements. All speakers and participants shared their suggestions, experiences and views regarding the efforts made to make the Yamuna Sangam programme historically successful.
